OK, but if uae_cachesize = 8192 enables JIT why is JIT=0 in the log? Is there any other special option to enable it on the mac version??

One possibility is that you are using a 64-bit build. I can check what the problem is if you send fs-uae.log.txt to <a...

The problem was that the FS-UAE build was 64-bit (does not include JIT compiler).

What Amiga model / accuracy setting are you using? Are you using other non-default settings? Please try running the game with A500 or A600 with default settings. Does that help?

But isn’t a 64-bit version better than 32-bit?
View ArticleComment on Frequently Asked Questions by FrodeSolheim
That depends. If you need JIT in FS-UAE, then definitively not, since the JIT code only works with x86 (32-bit).

Is there a situation for FS-UAE in which a 64-bit build would be better? Or doesn’t it matter for emulation speed/quality?
View ArticleComment on Frequently Asked Questions by CK
Nevertheless emulation speed of AmiKit and even ClassicWB is much much better with JIT!

Well, on the plus side, x86-64 has more CPU registers available which can benefit performance. On the flip side, it has larger pointer size which could possibly reduce CPU cache utilization. I haven’t...
